Welcome to my world of technical theatre, where artistry meets engineering and creativity intertwines with precision. I'm Jon, and I've cultivated a unique blend of skills that seamlessly combines my engineering and networking background with the enchanting realm of technical theatre.
As a seasoned lighting designer and programmer, I've had the privilege of transforming stages into immersive wonderlands. My experience allows me to craft mesmerizing lighting displays that breathe life into performances, captivating audiences with every beam and hue. With a deep understanding of networking, I orchestrate complex lighting systems with finesse, ensuring that the technical elements of every show are executed flawlessly. I’m experienced with MA and ETC, as well as integrating across QLab, automation, pyro, and many other control systems to ensure flawless integration of complex show control while still ensuring safety.
My journey in technical theatre started with pyro, and as such I thrive on designing bespoke special effects that add a touch of magic to productions. Drawing on my engineering background, I conceptualize and bring to life unique effects that leave a lasting impression. These effects not only enhance the storytelling but also push the boundaries of what's possible in technical theatre.
Behind the scenes, I'm a meticulous production manager, ensuring that all the moving parts come together seamlessly. From coordinating lighting and sound to orchestrating special effects and stage management, I take immense joy in navigating the intricate web of production logistics, ensuring that every performance runs like a well-oiled machine.
